Receiving these kinds of emails, reinforces time and time again how important this rescue really is! After 30+ years, we continue to grow, we continue to see the world changing, we continue to fight backyard breeders, we continue to heal, we continue to bend over backwards, we continue to save one dog at a time regardless of the money needed, we continue to find forever homes, we continue to need to fosters, we continue to do everything in our power to keep up the daily fight, we continue to have sleepless nights, we continue to pray... Please continue with us, believing in us, believing in our passion, believing in our purpose, believing that every dog deserves a second chance. Hi Jenell, Thank you so much for liaising with Marina re the adoption work . Dora is so sweet and no trouble. She is comfortable and easy going ,loves to snuggle with my husband and me and has even started romping with Marinas dog, Trooper , who is thrilled to have her and desperately wants to play. She has not messed inside at all and goes to the door when she needs to go to the bathroom. So all round she seems settle although somewhat nervous at times, which is understandable......so much change in such a short time . She does not eat all her measured quantity of food and seems to be dis interested in food generally ,which may account for her being so tiny. But I am sure in time she will settle and gain a little more. She seems so delicate and almost fragile next to robust Trooper but she can sure hold her own in racing him and keeping him in his place if he is over enthusiastic. We are so awed by the amazing work you and your team do and the shop is wonderful .I wish we had something like that here. The need for all dogs is so overwhelming and the brutality to them is just inconceivable .....how is it possible that we , who have so much intelligence (I hesitate to say that, ) can be so cruel , demeaning and cold..... To not only animals, but to our own people. We have so much and take more than we need , while they take only what they need to survive and look for warmth , affection and kindness, even when brutally treated, they come back and submit . It breaks my heart and I wish we could take more than one but volunteering will be another way for us to contribute Thank you, thank you for being the amazing woman you are..... And light for all!
