Recent Activity in the 104 Precinct Juniper Valley Park The 104 Precinct arrested 5 individuals over the last 4 days in Juniper Valley Park. Three (3) on Sunday, July 27, 2014 and two (2) on early Tuesday morning July 29, 2014. Four of the five were in possession of marijuana and one of the perpetrators had a gravity knife along with a silver BB gun. Four of the perpetrators live in Middle Village and one lives in Maspeth. All but one were under 18 years of age. We will continue to patrol Juniper Valley Park on a nightly basis. In addition over the last four days there were four individuals arrested and charged with a multitude of offenses related to motor vehicles/ motorcycles. Sunday, July 27, 2014 at approximately 5:40 am - two perpetrators were arrested in front of 59-39 54 Street and charged with Grand Larceny Auto (motorcycle), Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, Auto Stripping, Poss. of Burglars tools and Unauthorized Use of a vehicle. The motorcycle was stolen from Brooklyn. Perp #1 - Christopher Villa, age 24 of Brooklyn, NY Perp #2 - 17 year old Male, from Brooklyn, NY Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at approximately 2:00 am - Carlos Soto, age 21 of Glendale, NY was arrested in front of 62-51 60 Street and charged with Grand Larceny, Criminal Mischief, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, Auto Stripping, Poss. of Burglars tools and Unauthorized Use of a vehicle. The perpetrator was observed removing tbe tires off a stolen vehicle, (the vehicle was stolen from the intersection of Putnam Avenue & Forest Avenue). Upon the arrival of the NYPD Officers, the defendant attempted to hide inside the stolen vehicle, where he was discovered and apprehended. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at approximately 2:20 am - Pedro Cordero, age 40 of Brooklyn, NY was arrested at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Wyckoff Avenue and charged with Grand Larceny, Criminal Mischief, Auto Stripping, Poss. of Burglars tools and Unauthorized Use of a vehicle. The defendant was observed breaking into a vehicle and removing property from therein. Here is a list of **removed property: car radio, platinum ring, an IPod, Nintendo DS, Samsung Galaxy cell phone. **Please do leave items of value inside your vehicle. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at approximately 12:15 am - David Negron, age 21 of Middle Village, NY was observed by Patrol Officers vandalizing an air conditioner with his graffiti tag. The defendant was arrested near 62-15 Fresh Pond Road. In addition the defendant was also charged with making graffiti for vandalizing a mailbox on Metropolitan Avenue. David Negron is a known graffiti vandal with multiple arrests for graffiti. The majority of these arrests were made thanks to residents who saw something and said something!! The NYPD is always out on Patrol but, we still need the assistance of the community and because of this community involvement and the rapid response of Patrol Officers these perpetrators are off the street today.
