Recent criminal activity in our neighborhood: Reported assault with a deadly weapon occurred just after midnight on January 4 on 200 block of Katherine Avenue. No further information. Report of a residential burglary discovered the morning of January 7 in the 500 block of La Mesa Drive. Entry was from a rear window. Home was ransacked and jewelry and concealables were taken. Reported aggravated assault took place the morning of January 9 on the100 block of Katherine Avenue. No additional information. And according to a neighbor sometime during the week gasoline was stolen overnight from a parked car midway down San Miguel Avenue. Again, no further information is available. Please report all crimes and suspicious activities to the SPD at 758-7321, or if in progress call 911. And stay safe out there.
