Recently, Cesc Fàbregas joined Chelsea from FC Barcelona on a 5-Year deal worth £30m. This move has gained a hearty welcome from every Chelsea Football Club fan that Ive come across, even while the deal was speculative, one can say Hed gain massive sympathy from the fans of his new Team. Their profile pictures on BBM, WhatsApp and other Instant messengers have been decorated with the Spaniards pictures; indeed the Fans of the West London Club are happy. However, majority of Arsenal Fans have frowned at Cescs move to #Chelsea. They have called him several names, some called Him Second Hand material, many tagged Him Judas, while some even went hard, burning Arsenal Jerseys with Fabregas name at the back. There is no doubt about it, #Arsenal Fans(though not all) disgust the latest development and this is arguably because He moved to Chelsea Football Club- a direct rival to #Arsenal- thus reneging his previous claim(in 2010) that if He ever wears the Blue colours of #Chelsea, He should be killed. I think this shouldnt be blamed on anyone(not Fabregas, not Arsenal nor Wenger except it turns out to hurt the team) but seen as a fair deal for everyone. Wenger didnt activate the buy-back clause Arsenal had on Him because Mesut Özil, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, #Rosicky, #Carzola, #Arteta, #Diaby, #Chamberlain and #Flamini are already in the midfield area while Cesc Fàbregas is in dire need of constant football and surely where ever He goes away from FC Barcelona, Arsenal would benefit some sign-on fees; how else would You play it out?. Cesc Fàbregas is less arguably a great Player, on any good day, I grew up loving him(I often play Football during my senior secondary school days wearing the Naija made type of #Arsenal jersey with his name at the back) but he suffered a below expectation display at FC Barcelona and that should be blamed on the Catalan Club whose hopes rises above the trust they have in him. He has been deployed in out of position roles on several occasions and also hasnt got a big responsibility over the 3 years He stayed in his boyhood club, surely this hasnt helped in bringing the best out of Him; You wonder why someone who has 36 goals and 36 assists in 3 seasons is still regarded as flop in #Barca. On a Personal note as an #Arsenal Fan, Im not contented with Cesc Fàbregas moving to a direct rival of my team, not even Chelsea Football Club of all teams. Im surely happy Hes found a safe route away from his nightmare stint in Barca but I hate strengthening direct rivals. To be sincere, #Arsenal cant cope when former players line up against them; Alliadiere, Pennant, Bentley, Nasri, Clichy, Van Persie, Adebayor have all made life difficult for the team in the past and #Fabregas- who is set to combine with Diego Costa at a #Chelsea team that often beats Arsenal- is potentially placed to cause more havoc to Arsenal. In conclusion, I expect Him to fit perfectly into his new team to enjoy playing football once again, contrary to the pessimistic and skeptical minds. Surely with his quality vision, pin-point passes and accurate deadly strikes, He is bound to make wonders at Chelsea Football Club if given the Trust, the Hope and the responsibility that He deserves; no doubt He might win the Premier League title for them soon.
