Recently I had the opportunity to go back to my roots and shape one of my daughters a surfboard. Each time I touched the foam I did so with the finished product in mind. The tools I used were applied at specific times, for a specific reason to shape what I had desired. The same is true in the Christian life. Our God is indeed our shaper. His goal is to form us and shape us into the Image of His Son (Rom.8:29). On Sunday we will continue our studies in (1Timothy 1) where we will consider the importance of sound doctrine and how God uses His Word to form and shape our lives.
