Recently I have been seeing a lot of posts of missing dogs that are chipped but the chip has never been registered. Volunteering with rescue groups myself I have often found that the chip is put in when the dog is spayed or neutered before they are pulled from the shelter. A lot of groups/shelters do not point out that the adopters need to have the chip registered. The cost is about $25 a year or $65.00 for a lifetime. TAKE THE TIME TO CALL AND REGISTER YOUR PET. THE CHIP DOESNT DO ANY GOOD IF YOUR INFORMATION IS NOT REGISTERED ON IT!
