Recently I have traveled to the infamous Forest Haven Insane Asylum in Maryland. I had never been here and a couple friends took me to take a few photos and help shoot a music video. While we went I took photos and decided to just start taking video of everything for b-roll. I shot around 77 clips all together so this is a very small amount of them. Forest Haven was a facility that was 20 buildings large, people sent their mentally retarded children there to be taken care of. In these time it was a well known fact that Forest Haven had poor living conditions which resulted in many deaths of patients. Illegal experimentation among many things went on here and in the 90s it was finally closed down. Now its a federal offense going there. You can still see childrens suitcases, clothes of hangers, shoes, IVs, everything is still there. It is a pretty amazing site going there and exploring all the buildings. Truly happy I went. This was shot in just one time of going for 4 hours, even though we went twice.
