Recently, I traveled to Asia and met with senior U.S. military commanders and leaders in Japan and South Korea. The future is bright for the U.S. in Asia – if we make the right decisions now. Unless the United States reinvests in its military, strengthens its alliances, and displays strong leadership, we will see increased threats, greater risks of instability, and economic turbulence in a region of pivotal importance to Americas future.
