Recently I was asked by a friend,how can you be so positive about everything? I told her, Im not positive about everything, how could anyone be? Still, to the degree that I am positive, or anybody is as we traverse this challenge called life, is to the degree that we place things in an accurate perspective. Here in this brief clip below, Paul Giamattis magnificent portrayal of an elderly former President John Adams, beautifully demonstrates the importance and power of perspective. Please watch and listen to it. As you do, realize that Adams had just lost the love of his life, his wife Abagail, had lost two children during his life, had endured the betrayal of his dear friend Thomas Jefferson and was at the end of his own life. Sometimes, it is only in the last moments of life that we realize what really is important. Maybe we could do it at little earlier.
