Recently I was watching a cooking competition where one of the challenges was a blind taste test. The chefs were asked to identify what animal was being used in the dish, and surprisingly half of them guessed wrong. Honestly, it depressed me. When professional chefs cant even tell what animals theyre killing, then the average person is REALLY at a disadvantage. And then theres the below segment from the Today show where the hosts guessed incorrectly when trying the Beyond Meat against the beef and chicken. If we dont even know what (or who) were eating, then why are we killing anyone at all? If we can achieve the same taste and texture without the consequences, arent we running out of excuses? today/food/today-puts-meatless-meat-test-does-it-taste-chicken-1D79579619
