Recently a student asked for ideas for quick, easy, and inexpensive meals for a student lifestyle. My first piece of advice was to buy a crock pot. I think a simple, inexpensive, basic crock pot is your best option. Weve tried fancier ones but they are not worth the money and dont hold up. We use one that is similar to this one; amazon/Proctor-Silex-33015Y-2-Quart-Cooker/dp/B0002CA3C6/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1411964826&sr=8-15&keywords=crock+pot [This is just an example! We are not trying to sell something. You can often find crockpots at thrift stores, garage sales, or at the flea market. Im just suggesting you dont need a super fancy one.] Here are three recipes that are filling, yummy, and student friendly. All of them can be made in a crock pot. Put your beans on before you leave for the day and youll come home to a wonderful, nourishing meal. 1.
