Recently an Oklahoma woman who was grocery shopping noticed that someone had stolen her wallet. She spotted the thief in a crowded aisle and said to him, “I think you have something of mine. Im gonna give you a choice: You can give me my wallet and Ill forgive you right now, and Ill even take you to the front and pay for your groceries. The mother of four added, He reached into his hoodie pocket and gave me my wallet. He started crying when we walked up to the front. He said he was sorry about 20 times by the time we went from the pickle aisle to the front. He told me he was desperate. She reportedly wound up spending $27 on groceries for the man, including milk, bread, bologna, crackers, soup and cheese. “The last thing he said was, Ill never forget tonight. Im broke, I have kids, Im embarrassed and Im sorry,” she reportedly recalled. Some people are critical because I didnt turn him in, but sometimes all you need is a second chance. According to Yahoo News, “This generosity and desire to help others is a major part of Jessicas life. Though shes a full-time college student, United Way employee, wife and mother of four, she still finds time to work with the Christian Outreach in her community and spends up to 12 hours per week volunteering.” While bitter atheists continually try to paint Christians as hate-mongers, love and kindness is the spirit of true Christianity.
