Recently the Himalayan Research and Cultural Foundation, New Delhi organized an International Seminar on Eurasia and India: Regional Perspectives on 11-12 November 2013 in Indian Council of Social Science Research, under the leadership of Prof K Warikoo, secretary general [honorary], who is a prominent professor of our Centre for Inner Asian Studies, JNU. Numerous experts from Russia, Kazakhstan and other Eurasian states appeared in the seminar presenting their own convictions of Eurasia as a concept and realities. The two-day seminar was honored with the presence of honorable Mr Doulat Kuanyshev, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan in India, keynote speaker -Prof Devendra Kaushik-former chairman of Maulana Azad Institute of Asian Studies, Kolkata, T.N. Chaturvedi-Chairman, IIPA, Delhi and many renowned scholars. As India moves toward next millennium aiming to be on the top in next 30 years, this seminar looked on different perspectives in the wake of global changes, shifting energy geopolitics and cultural links with Eurasia.
