Recently, there are indications of economic decline.! In the 7th and 4th districts of MO, major employers are closing entire factories or significantly reducing the numbers of employees. Regal-Beloit, Detroit Tool and the two major military installations in the 4th district all cut the number of employees. Military-industrial spending is shrinking. Farm subsidies have been delayed. Unfortunately, the lack of government spending, can wreck our local economy. In the 4th district, our past democrat representative and our current republican representative tied our economic health to level of government spending. Their free-trade agreements destroyed the local manufacturers and left many communities dependent on government. Amnesty for millions of illegals is on the front burner of both democrat and republican politicians. Amnesty will further depress the already low wages and bring a new wave of illegal immigration to MO. How do you see it?
