Recipe for baking soda free deodorant for sensitive skin So I have been using my homemade deodorant for a while now from a recipe that I got out of the doTerra living magazine and it uses baking soda. Well, armpits could no longer take the heat anymore. They were on fire today and I finally realized, thanks to Amy Sparano Borchin, that the reason I couldnt handle my deodorant was because of the baking soda. It was just too harsh or my skin. Amy sent me the recipe for a baking soda free recipe and there is no burning! I actually feel like they are healing because of the lavender and coconut oil in it. I wanted to share the recipe with the rest of you in case you were experience the same issue. 1/2 cup arrowroot powder (or cornstarch) 1/2 cup coconut oil 40 drops of lavender oil 20 drops of one or a combination of lemon, orange, peppermint, and/or frankincense. I love the smell of citrus so I combined 10 drops of lemon and 10 drops of orange and it smells delicious. Thanks again Amy for sharing this recipe with me. I hope it is helpful for the rest of you too. P.S. In case you want to check out the website she got if from, here it is: ablossominglife/2013/10/homemade-baking-soda-free-deodorant.html#_a5y_p=1278835
