Recruiting Tip of the Day: Do not assume that the rule prohibiting Division I and II coaches from calling a student-athlete is reciprocal. A huge loophole in the rules allows a ton recruiting to take place during the freshman and sophomore year so long as the student-athletes initiates the communication. This is the loophole that allows elite-level recruits to receive offers during their freshman and sophomore years.
