Red Bull VS Plexus....... Check Out this comparison I used to drink AMP Energy drinks made by Mountain Dew so I understand how they add up, but check out the comparison Becky Massingill found! While she was at a convenience store this morning she noticed a big display for Red Bull right at the cash register. They were little cans...maybe 4 ounces. Out of curiosity, I asked how much they were. $2.69 + tax. That comes out to $2.93. If a person drank only 1 a day, that totals $87.90 for a month. WOW!! I wonder how many people drink more than one 4 oz can a day?? According to the Red Bull website, the following ingredients comprise Red Bull: 80 mg of caffeine...we know that caffeine is a stimulant, and large doses of caffeine can be harmful to many people, particularly when they get caffeine from other food sources throughout the day. B Vitamins (mg not given) B vitamins are a good thing, right? Sucrose & Glucose (27 g)...this is nothing more than a fancy way of saying sugar. Women should not consume more than 25 g of sugar PER DAY, and men should only consume 35 g per day. Looks like no more sugar for the rest of the day for people who drink Red Bull! Alpine Spring Water...again...water is a good thing. Taurine (mg not given)...this is what Red Bull says about Taurine: The taurine in Red Bull® Energy Drink is a purely synthetic substance produced by pharmaceutical companies and is not derived from animals or animal materials. All ingredients for Red Bull® Energy Drink are synthetically produced by pharmaceutical companies. ALL INGREDIENTS IN RED BULL ARE SYNTHETICALLY PRODUCED!!! Did you know that a months supply of Plexus Slim costs LESS than the before tax price of a 4 oz Red Bull?? And Slim is natural, contains NO sugar, NO stimulants, and assists in normalizing blood sugar, cholesterol, and lipid levels in the body. NOTHING harmful or even potentially harmful in Slim. Lets see....better for you, helps make you healthier, helps you lose weight, costs less... Pretty easy decision, wouldnt you say?
