Red Deer Arts Council visual artists expose us to their Starry Nights! Red Deer Arts Council and Red Deer Public Library are pleased to present Starry Night: A Red Deer Arts Council Visual Arts Members Juried Exhibition, which runs in the Kiwanis Gallery from November 25 to December 28, 2014. Our First Friday Red Deer is December 5 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Refreshments served. The Red Deer Arts Council Visual Arts Members have been dreaming of starry nights as they delve into their creative energy to bring this themed exhibit to life. A special theme was developed by the Visual Art Committee to give our members a challenge to find out what a Starry Night means to them in terms of their own art practice. The exhibit was opened to all Red Deer Arts Council visual arts members and expresses the quality of works of the artists in our membership from emerging to professional. This exhibit challenged artists to keep within a theme and a value (maximum $100.00) to act as a fundraiser for the Arts Council. Artists whose work is sold will receive a commission from the arts council as we believe in supporting all our artists who are, in effect, small business owners. So, what will our members think to present? Use your imaginations! For more information contact Diana Anderson, Coordinator at (403)348-2787 Hours: Monday to Wednesday, 9 am to 4:30 pm
