Red Whisper is a flashy 2007 chestnut gelding with lots of chrome and a gorgeous tail. Red Whisper is by Commemorate and out of With Kindness and has a nice pedigree. He is 16.1 hands and was retired sound in October 2012. He has nice conformation, poise and clean legs. Red had the winter off and his owner decided to not return him to racing and find him a new career instead. He is friendly, personable and easy to handle. Red has no vices, decent ground manners and loves peppermints! He is very much a people horse that likes attention, stands great for grooming and the farrier. Red likes being in his stall but also enjoys turn out as well. He definitely does not like being turned out 24/7 but gets along with other horses and enjoys having a buddy. Red is an intelligent and willing horse that wants to please. He responds well to command and is a quick learner. We have been working on his ground manners, as well as, walk, trot and starting to work on his canter. He has a very floaty trot and a big stride. Red is also being worked at picking up on leads and he is not one sided (which is not typical for a race horse) he responds effortlessly to left and right hand lead changes. We think he could easily excel in a variety of disciplines but would make a for a nice low level hunter/jumper eventer or dressage prospect. Red Whisper is available for adoption through CANTER KY.
