Redneck Ranch News: Pretty sad time here at the Ranch. Always something. God has been working in big ways in Alex’s life. I feel that all the prayers for him has produced nothing short of a Miracle. Here just a short time ago was a young man who was in such bad shape that I honestly felt there was no hope for him. Then he stepped into a church, where the healing process started. Church, counseling, reading, a safe environment, having his girls around and God. The girls mother came home after 3 weeks or so and we were hoping for big things for her as well. Being in not much better shape then Alex we knew she would need a Miracle as well. Should have asked for more prayers for her. We gave her a room for herself, one for the girls, a living area, cable in both rooms, computer access, and a full kitchen, and dining room area, plus a car. We offered to help her with her GED, counseling, church, books, classes, what ever she needed to help her in her recovery. Such a sad little girl with no happiness in her soul. I waited for about a week to see if she was going to cheer up. Nothing. Kim talked to her about grief counseling, thinking it was because of her father‘s death. I talked to family and friends and found out that’s just the way she is. Pretty sad really. Kim and I had a talk to her about her goals, keeping her area clean, and helping out with the dishes, and loosing the passive aggressive attitude she had. Two days later, (yesterday) as soon as Kim and I headed to Phoenix to pick up a puppy she called the cops to stand by, called a taxi and took the two girls back to California. Not really much thought of the girls. No good byes. So the Redneck Ranch is a pretty sad place today. Alex is at church, determined to make himself a better father. Let’s keep the prayers going, for Alex, the girls, and the mom.
