Reduction criticism. Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. (Ephesians 5:21 KJV) How could we interpret this verse? It seems that submission is co equal. Now let us do reduction criticism method. Wives submit to your husbands. Ok Husbands submit to your wives. It seems something wrong. Church submit to Christ. Ok Christ submit to church. It is not ok. Husband submit to Christ. Ok Christ submit to husbands. Not ok. Therefore the passage is wrongly translated to submit yourselves one to another. The passage should be translated to submit yourselves to one another. You cannot command Christ to submit to husbands and it will never be.
