Reflecting on my acting career... Cause an old friend asked me what is my favorite movie I was in... Promise The Moon Sullivan Production (Road to Avonlee) CBC made movie filmed on their farm) I like it because I got to beat up 3 cowpokes! Not promoting violence... Hey its TV! I got to get my elbow of the one who called Sophie Twelvetrees SQUAW. The Actor playing this character told me Gloria May Eshkibok that was the worst part of my acting career... It was my Choreography! I couldnt sleep the night before this seen. It was hard to imagine fighting 3 men!! So I finally fell asleep when i figured it out... I was all syched out for the morning shoot. Ken Jubenville was our Director. He says to me Gloria May meet Rick Parker your Fight Choreographer!!! OMG! LOL.... I met Rick before on other shows... I tell him my story of how i couldnt sleep the night before... and if wanted to check out what i planned and polish it up if it works for him. Sophie is being held back by 3 cowpokes... she is trying to get to her deaf 16 year old friend who grew up from infant in an Insane Assylum in Chicago in the 1920s who the only heir to land in Winnepeg. A farm... and this boy LEVITUS has a gun in his hands.. he is shooting it off and likes the sensation of the gun as it pulls! The cowpokes are amused with him and hold back Sophie as she tries to get to the young man. SHE STOMPS on the guy to her right... Hoping he has an ingrown toenail... HE GOES DOWN... I had to do a ZENA/ SHAMPOO commercial with my long black hair AND I pull my head forward then quickly back to hit the cowpoke holding my neck and i give him LOCKJAW... Down... This is all fast... then the cowpoke holding me on my right arm. I pull my elbow forward and throw it back right into his crouch! YEP... Cause this certain cowpoke kept calling Sophie Squaw. LOL. He was also a step son who thought he should inherit the land and NOT Levitus. 1920s Derogatory behavior exposed! And Boom! LOL. How many actresses get to do that? I die in the movie... burnt in a chicken coop. As the corporations where picking on this particular farm as the owner died and a deaf boy was an heir and did not believe that he could run a farm. They set the barn where the chicken coop was! Corporations are still doing this to this day and age. The Banks are power money and greed. Great Cast Henry Czerny, Cladette Stevenson, Aidan Devine, Ken James... and a guy that looked like Uncle Bobby ( a kids show) who was my double as he had to portray Sophie running out of the chicken coop on fire... yep that was not me!! I had a good time... i felt safe and protected as we are artists letting know what happened.. or what is happening... Just reminiscing... pondering my future if I will get anymore work. And thinking of the past work i have done makes me smile... I did it.
