***Refutation of those who accuse us of likening Allaah to the creation.*** Verily Allaah the Most High has Names and Attributes which befit His Majesty, and the creation also has names and attributes which befit them. Just because names and attributes have the same terminology and meaning, it does not imply that they have the same reality or nature. For example: Jannah (paradise) has within it; grapes, palm trees and pomegranates, just as Allaah mentioned (in the Quran). These names (of fruit) also exist with us here in this dunya (world), but that which is in paradise is NOT LIKE that which is in this world! The grapes which are in paradise are NOT like the grapes in this world. The palm trees which are in paradise, are NOT like the palm trees in this world. The pomegranates in paradise are NOT like the pomegranates in this world. Even though these fruits share the same name and meaning, their realities and nature is completely different, no one knows their realities/nature except Allaah Most High. So nothing is like, or resembles Allaah Most High in His names or attributes, because He said: There is nothing like Him, and He is the all-Hearing all-Seeing.-Quran 42:11
