Regarding the IPTV debate: I have always thought of my campaign - TopicsExpress

Regarding the IPTV debate: I have always thought of my campaign as a David vs Goliath quest. (David won remember.) But my great motivator and campaign manager, Samantha, reminded me that this IPTV thing is really a Cinderella story. Remember, Cinderella wanted to go to the ball, and her stepmother said, Sure, no problem, you can go to the ball, but just have to complete these tasks that I know to be impossible. The IPTV criteria sound objective but would exclude 100% of Independent candidates, and most--if not all-- third parties. Is this the role of public tax supported TV? During the Soviet era I studied Russian and Russian history in college. We laughed at the thought that government supported Pravda, TASS, and Isvestia could be fair and impartial. And we were right! All of you calling and organizing a protest--thank you for your help. And if I do not make it onto Iowa Non-Public TV--as Sean Hannity says--let not your hearts be troubled. We will expose this Government/ TV/News Oligarchy for what it is. Ultimately I believe that truth and freedom will prevail. It just may be a little rocky on the way. More to follow about the public protest. We already have the parallel debate in the works. Sending press releases Thanks again to all of you who have called, sent notes of encouragement and have supported the effort. As a final note I leave you with the wit and wisdom of our Libertarian Secretary of State Candidate whose wit reminds me of HL Mencken. He texted me: The IPTV debates will be the most substance free debate in Iowa history. Not including all the substances I will have to use to stay awake watching it. LOL
