Regarding the McDonalds issue in Malaysia, I feel that, as a Malaysian, I should say something about this, so here goes. I feel, in all honesty, that theres one thing people have seem to forgotten - a very important fact: McDonalds is a franchise. Thus meaning that the branches all over the world (except for its headquarters) are owned by various individuals and parties. So how is it that one can link the nearest McDonalds, if any, to the crisis? Is there evidence? Is there logic, to the claims? Has one truly, TRULY stepped back, and took stock of the situation as a whole? By impulsively rioting and harassing the employees without evidence, without analyzing and researching the situation, people are not helping in any form or way but only damaging the economy and worsening tensions. Not only are they damaging the economy, but also hurting individuals and affecting their livelihoods (the employees and perhaps their families, the reasons why they take up the jobs they have to). One life lost is already one too many; same goes for ones livelihood. Enough is enough - too much lives have already been needlessly lost, and too much livelihoods affected.
