Regarding the solar energy project that is and has been being discussed... Apparently this document is what many people are taking about. It is an 86 page document produce by the BLM to address Regional Mitigation Strategy for the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone Technical Note 444 Yes the Dry Lake Solar zone appears to not be by the Bundy Ranch but if not mistaken page 31 map and other maps show that the BLM land around the Bundy ranch is to be used as the mitigation area for the Solar project. Note in the area that speaks to mitigation it shows no grazing leases so throughout the entire document they speak to wildlife and endangered species but not to any wild horses, burros or cattle. Bundys or feral cattle at all. So it would seem to me that all cattle would need to be gone to carry out the plan of providing a mitigation area. Note also that this is broad 6 state solar plan on public lands. They never make these easy reading as they use their own language but look at what is protected in the lists. Note what is not protected. Humans, food production animals or even crops. Would appreciate someone who is familar with this document say someone who spoke out for or against or lives in an impacted area off highway 15 to make sure my map reading is correct.
