Regarding this phrase Check your privilege being said to white people. I am getting so sick of this idiocy! On the one hand, I have always felt that groups like the KKK were idiotic, but on the other hand I cannot help but notice that the most technologically innovative countries of the last 500 years were run by whites ,and the countries people want to move to are generally majority white. And guess which countries pour out millions in aid to other countries-its the white majority countries pouring money into these other perpetually backwards 2 bit countries run by non-whites! Witness the mass immigrations of persons of color both brown and black into Europe and the U.S. The only race that is LEGALLY discriminated against today in the US is whites. Go look on government web sites where all kinds of things, from business loans to other programs and private scholarships are available to Minorities-in other words whites need not apply. I will not apologize for being white!If you think only whites enslaved other people or black were the only slaves you are just historically ignorant! Do people not realize that the English word slave is derived from the word Slavic because at one point so many Slavic people -theses are white people-think Russians, Yugoslavians- were being enslaved the name became synonymous with slavery? - Do people not realize the Muslims were raiding coastal Europe for years carrying off white slaves? Some estimate are that there were over a million Whites carried off by these raiders in a few centuries.That Barbary Pirate War between the US and the Barbary States -that is mentioned in the marine corps song- was about those same pirates seizing US Ships and either holding the people for ransom or selling them into slavery. Do people not realize that the Irish were forced into slavery by the hundreds of thousands? Do people not realize the ottoman empire was carrying off white boys from the Balkans and forcing them into military service as slave soldiers-look up the word Janissaries. That the Muslims were dealing in black slave trade? That the Black Africans were dealing in black Africans? Do people not realize slavery existed through Asia and yes, the Americas before the arrival of white? But blacks play the victim card as if their ancestors were the only ones and whites were the only perpetrators.
