Region Track & Field wrap up. What a fantastic weekend at our home track. The weather started off a little shaky but it was a perfect day today (with a little wind of course) We saw some outstanding results by our WCLAC little athletes and we are very proud of you all. We do it for the kids and it was so great to see everyone coming together to get the job done. There are many people to thank for such a successful weekend. The Northern Metro Region representatives, Our Centre Committee, athletes, officials, starters & parent helpers. Thank you to Anthony Valle and Kim Paton. What a tough job to organise all the 120 athletes and parent helpers. Truly outstanding! Thank you to Cameron Lamb who spent all weekend running our new gate system. A first time for a Region event using the gate system. Special thanks to the dedicated committee members who had no children competing this weekend :Tony Newstead who was back and forth stocking supplies, directing traffic in the car park and working on the entry gate, pack up and the list goes on. Thanks Maria Pirzas for manning the entry gates and Cheryl Duff for helping on the entry gates and in the clubrooms. Thank you to the parents who went past their allocated duty times and kept the BBQ going. Thank you to every person who officiated and helped at our allocated events and to Narelle Cullen for the photos she always manages the time to take. Thank you to Phil Atkins, Peter Scott, Darren Condon & Daniel Kewish for doing technical, set up and pack up. Thank you to Jim Bannan, Nick Magnisalis and the technical team for pack up today. An amazing TEAM effort all round. Bring on State Track & Field 2014 !!!
