Regional Expedition Mantario Trek 1. The expedition is from 1 -10 October 2013 out of Winnipeg, MB. The expedition consists of a single day hike to shake down use of the equipment and proper fit in Birds Hill Provincial Park, MB followed by a 4.5 day 66km trek in the Canadian Shield along the Mantario Trail in Whiteshell Provincial Park, MB. 2. Corps are asked to submit applications for eligible army cadets immediately, Eligibility is as follows: a. be gold star qualified; b. be at least 15 years of age by 1 Oct 13; c. have successfully completed both a silver and gold star expedition training weekend; d. have attained at minimum the bronze incentive level of the cadet fitness assessment and incentive program (CFAIP) qualified not earlier than 1 Jun 13; and e. be medically fit IAW CATO 16-02 and have no participation limitations. 3.
