Regional parties fanning communal trouble, disturbing peace; warn BJP, socio-religious groups Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 12: Taking serious exception to political drama played by regional parties including National Conference (NC) to please their political constituencies in Valley, certain political and socio-religious organizations in Jammu have asked them to stop indulging in negative politics and hoodwinking people for their vested political interests. These organizations have taken serious exception to war of attrition between the two parties through daily statements in some newspapers just to hoodwink the public opinion keeping an eye on next year assembly elections in the State. Contesting elections is the democratic right of every political party but it does not mean that they can harm national interest by raking up emotive issues and play with the sentiments of the people, said Mushtaq Noorabadi BJP Muslim Morcha president of the State. He held that leadership of the regional parties including NC is responsible for present mess in the state and alleged that for their cheap politics, these parties continue to mislead people on the name of autonomy knowing fully that this was not possible since Kashmir is an integral part of India whose fate has been decided in 1947 after signing a historical accord by then Maharaja Hari Singh with Indian Union and which got ratified by none other than the NC and its leader Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah in State Assembly later. Noorabadi, while taking the regional parties to task said that for one upmanship in coming Assembly elections, regional parties including NC are misleading people and trying to blackmail the Union Government. He appealed the people of Kashmir not to be misled by these parties as they are responsible for present mess in the Valley and killing of thousands of people on the name of so called holy Jehad. Had the leaders of regional parties including NC not been involved in negative politics to grind their own axe, the situation could have been far better in the Valley today and there would have been no turmoil at all nor over four lakh minorities who were part of Kashmir would have been leading exiled life for last 24 years, he said. Noorabdi said that when elections are drawing nearer, the two parties have started raking up Amarnath land row issue which was under carpet for five years. This is a dangerous game plan and slated to disturb peace in the entire state. He urged the Union Government to see writing on the wall and take corrective measures right in advance, he said. He also criticized the statement of Sayeed Ali Shah Geelani of warning to launch the armed struggle against India and termed it highly misleading. He said the Geelani like leaders get encouraged by the negative politics of the regional parties including NC and demanded that action be taken against him under law. Meanwhile, VHP State president Dr Rama Kant Dubey has also criticized the statement of Geelani and demanded his immediate arrest under law. He said it is because of the wrong policies of the Government of India and J&K Government that Geelani dares to make such objectionable and controversial statements. He warned that those who mislead the people on the name of armed struggle should be crushed with iron hands. The negative politics of regional parties including NC has also been criticized by Kashmiri Pandit Conference president Kundan Kashmiri. He said that these parties were responsible for widening gulf between people of Valley and rest of India due to their negative and misleading statements. He also took serious exception to Geelanis statement and demanded that the separatist leader be arrested immediately and shown his place as he cant play with the sentiments of over one billion people of India
