The incumbent will be part of the department of Gastroenterology and hepatology services multidisciplinary healthcare team in the ouptatient Gastroenterology clinics at Liverpool and Bankstown hospitals. Opportunity for RN to work temporary part time 0.5 FTE as a hepatology nurse as part of a team of nurses in the Department of Gastroenterology and hepatology services. Selection Criteria Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse/ Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) An understanding of the nurse’s role and responsibilities in the use of practice development principles to engage with patients/clients and guide others in the provision of a high standard of care as well as well developed organisational and problem solving skills Demonstrated ability to work independently and to work effectively within a collaborative team environment with a demonstrated commitment to professional development Demonstrated well developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Current Unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence (P2 licence acceptable). Recent acute care experience and an interest in providing patient education, care and support to people affected with Chronic Viral Hepatitis. Demonstrated computer skills with willingness to learn and use electronic medical information and reporting systems.
