Reiterating shutdown call on September 7 and protest demonstration on Friday , September 6 against proposed music concert in Shalimar ,Syed Ali Geelani said, that Zubin Mehta’s ‘’Ahsas e Kashmir” is a senseless attempt and a propaganda tool aimed at to divert attention from worst human right situations in Kashmir. Syed Ali Geelani urged people to demonstrate their responsibility and added that on this historical event they should convey message that neither they would compromise for the sacrifices nor they in any case would forget the precious sacrifices presented by martyrs. Thursday, in a statement, Syed Ali Geelani said that India is forcibly occupying the state and while commenting over the search operations and blockades , said that the authorities in order to make show a success ,have opted for coercive measures and unjustified restrictions. Syed Ali Geelani said that the coercion and repressive measures stand evidences that people of Jammu and Kashmir neither accepted the forced occupation and nor would call of their struggle for freedom . Strongly criticizing German ambassador Michael Steiner, and added I wish he should have exhibited wisdom and then could have concluded that restriction imposed have turned the music show into a mere military operation. His agenda is hidden ,said Syed Ali Geelani and added he represents Zionist lobby. Syed Ali Geelani added he had never expressed his sympathies with oppressed nations in the world. Wherever he went, played a controversial role, said Syed Ali Geelani and added instead he reinforced the agenda of occupant regimes. Chairman Hurriyat said that media personell from across the world are expected on this musical concert and consequently they would focus on Kashmir too ,said Syed Ali Geelani and added that since it is the responsibility of the pro- freedom sections and people to mobilize and take necessary measures and represent the sentiments and aspirations of people of Jammu and Kashmir. Syed Ali Geelani in his appeal to student fraternity ,people of Jammu and kashmir,transporters,traders and government employees and asked to play their impressive role for freedom movement and reaffirm their faith that under no circumstance they will surrender or call off their struggle. Meanwhile several news channels and media persons from Germany in an interview asked Syed Ali Geelani about his view point regarding proposed music concert .Syed Ali Geelani in detail apprised them about the prevailing situation in valley and in brief summarized the history of the Kashmir conflict and ongoing human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir . Syed Ali Geelani said that India claims to be a great republic in world, however, despite its commitments in UN regarding the Kashmir and the resulutions passed there the democratic right to self-determination is being denied .Syed Ali Geelani said that despite these resulutions India has resorted to subjugation and is perpetrating immense excesses. We were expecting moral support from Germany ,instead for its economical interests with India .People ask and question the double standard being played by German government and added that Germany for its interest has ignored the aspirations of Kashmiri people
