“Rejoice with Jerusalem, And be glad with her, all you - TopicsExpress

“Rejoice with Jerusalem, And be glad with her, all you who love her; Rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn for her; That you may feed and be satisfied with the consolation of her bosom , That you may drink deeply and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.” Is.66:10-11 (In the picture is the entrance to Yeshua’s cave/tomb, located at the Garden Tomb in Jerusalem. The tomb is EMPTY! Also, the tree is naturally shaped as the cross). Dear brethren and friends—all those waiting for the Consolation of Israel (Lk.2:25) — Shalom from Jerusalem! Thank you for your faithful support, encouragement, prayers and love, e-mails and phone calls. You have strengthened our efforts, and we praise the Lord that you’ve continually stood with us. Praise Adonai! We are excited to say that the Havura-community is moving forward! Currently, we are praying about starting an “Erev (Eve) Shabbat” gathering for the community, in addition to our Monday night fellowships. We see these future gatherings as a lively fellowship with a focus in prayer and the Scriptures, not to mention a Shabbat meal! (they shared their food in joy and simplicity of their heart) Our goal is to involve as many brethren as possible in a spiritual expression of love and care in order to make our place warm and comfortable for newcomers. (hopefully, visitors who are not yet believers). We study the Scriptures, especially Acts, in order to jointly understand through prayer and revelation the reason for the unprecedentedly high numbers of Jewish believers in Jerusalem who steadily kept their faith and rejoiced in unbelievable unity through the labor of His soul (Is.53:12). Like them, we want to be the testimony of love for our people, while also having respect of all the people (Acts.2:47). A few weeks ago, in the picturesque Jerusalem neighborhood of Ein Karem, we had our first Shabbat gathering in the beautiful home of our dear friend and very blessed evangelist, Rachel. About 50 people – both believers from our Havura and also non-believers of different backgrounds (Hebrew, Russian, English, and even Korean) gathered together to celebrate Shabbat, to pray and worship, to enjoy hospitality and communication, and also to partake in delicious Mediterranean food! It was our first friendly outreach, and I want to share with you Svetlana’s story – one of the first fruits of this outreach. Svetlana – a wonderful opera singer Interestingly enough, this Shabbat gathering was scheduled for an earlier date, but was postponed – as if the Lord had planned it in such a way so that Svetlana would be there. Rachel met Svetlana, a well known opera singer, just a few days before the gathering. She invited her to come and be with us, asking her to sing for the guests. Svetlana agreed – and was so inspired by the special atmosphere at this fellowship, that her concert lasted for more than an hour. After the concert, Julia decided to invite her to our meeting, without much hope for a positive response. When Julia wisely offered her to come and see a breathtaking panoramic view of Jerusalem from the 14th floor of the Prayer tower, Svetlana agreed. Only a couple days later, and to our great surprise, she came with her assistant Luba to our Monday meeting! At first, they were just excited to see the view. But then, again to our great astonishment, they ended up staying for the entire fellowship. Brother Glen was sharing from 1 Thes.5:16-18, and G-d, who knows our hearts, knew how to touch Svetlana and Luba’s. When they were leaving, Svetlana said: “We heard precisely the words we had to hear”. I looked at her, and couldn’t believe that this was the same lady. Usually so self-confident, the tears were now filling her eyes, and she seemed deeply touched. Please join us in intercession for Svetlana’s and Luba’s souls! PRAYER REQUESTS Please pray for the situation in the Arab world: first of all for Salvation of Muslims and also for protection of our fellow believers in Muslim countries around Israel, especially in Syria. The visit of the President Obama and the positive statements he made about Israel (from a Biblical perspective) must also be prayed about. Pray for our dear friend Bella, her family and her mom Polina. Please also pray for Esfir and Efim, for the health of Julia’s Mom Isabella and Grandmother (a few days ago she rededicated her life to Yeshua); for Ludmilla, Lena and Vita; for Luba, for Yevsei, for Boris and Ira; for Stanislav and Anna, for Gerda, for Axelrod’s family, Stas and his family, and also for Orly and her kids. Please pray for very young Israeli-born believers and the un-believers for whom I had privilege to pray with: Amir, Avi, Yila, Liz and Nava. And, as I wrote, please join us in intercession for Svetlana’s and Luba’s souls. And finally, please pray for our family, especially for our children: Yael, Daniel and Yoel. In 2014, Daniel will be drafted into the army for three years. Please pray that God will prepare a place for him in the army. Julia needs a breakthrough in her health coaching ministry. Pray for blessing and guidance in completing her next books and also for fresh anointing in her Radio class on the Jewish roots of Christianity. Pray for the fruits of my recent ministry trip (shlichut) to Finland and Estonia, and for the “Seminar for Estonian Christian leaders” I am currently organizing in cooperation with my Estonian and Finnish brethren this October, which is designed to introduce people to Messianic Judaism. Yours sincerely, in Yeshua’s love: the Blums Dear friends, thank you so much for supporting our family and ministry financially. This kind of blessing, spoken about in Romans 15:25-26, is extremely important for us and vital for our ministry in Israel and beyond, especially during these unsure times when our financial situation is such a great challenge to us. If you would like to bless and support the saints of Jerusalem, please send your tax-deductible gifts to our NEW ADDRESS (since 01.31.2013): "Shuva Yisrael" Messianic Synagogue 88 Southern Parkway Plainview, NY 11803; Please make out your checks to the Congregation "Shuva Yisrael". In the memo section, please write: For the Blums. Thank you so much!
