Rejoinder : Is Obiano paying the Price of Purposeful leadership...? By James Eze. On the contrary I will say that Obiano is paying the price of surrounding himself with strangers to APGA/ Anambra politics and wrong handlers. As I write Obiano is wining and dining with those never worked for his party APGA at any time until Obiano emerged as APGA candidate. I was told that their appointment was based on merit. When I asked about the criteria, they all turned deaf and dump. For example Phil Chinwuba never worked or campaigned for APGA or believed in the party in the past. He was in ANPP alongside with his mentor Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau. I still have the picture of himself and Shekarau in London UK. Ofcourse Mr SSA recent attempt to defend his HE Gov Obiano caused more harm than good. He may well meant well for his brother, but his unguided outburst caused more harm than good to APGA led Govt. Our people and indeed traditional supporters of APGA are concerned that certain moves or steps by Govt suggest it is a clear departure from his own promise of continuity campaign (3C campaign manifesto). Ex Gov Obi is reputable for many things among them are simplicity, civility, and financial disciple. Ofcourse our people expected continuity in Governance and style. Sadly that is not the case, we see our leader today with long fleets of expensive Jeeps, exotic cars, motorbike and ors , all at the tax payers expense. I must say that my Gov never had such convoy as an individual. So why that now ..............? It is in my view a breach of public trust and expectations. E x Gov Obi did not use long convoys or motorbike etc. I must say that leadership is not limited to flag off flyovers and bridges at Awka, it is also important to serve as role model to younger generation of Anambra Youths. Anambra people are unique people they are contented people , you cannot second guest them , when it matters. Ex Gov Obi APGA was tight fist in stomach infrastructure and money sharing. To the surprise of many Ex Gov Obi enjoyed their support for 8 years and handed over to his party candidate on promise of continuity. On the contrary Mbadinuju with long convoy and money sharing to match Sir Emeka Offor failed to win second tenure. Bags of rice, salt etc are no incentive in Anambra state politics. Since we have men and women looking after the less privileged ones in our society before Chief Willie M. Obiano emerge as Gov. Only few weeks ago some comrades that fought day and night online during campaign visited Agu Awka to offer some useful advice and assistance to HE. They were told plainly that they are not needed now, they may need their assistance during campaign. Lets assume the above assertion is the case, is that the best way to treat those who fought on the same trench with you during campaign as SSA or EA to the Gov ...? I am told that there is no problem between Ex Gov Obi and Obiano but what Im yet to understand is how APGA latest uniform was printed without Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwus picture on it. I remind myself that Obiano APGA used the same picture of Ojukwu/Obi to win 2013 election. I was told that it is Obiano style. Suggesting that Gov want to walk alone without reference to past. If the assertion above is true, that is more reason why traditional APGA supporters will have to be worried about. Walking alone means failure on sight. I remind myself that Obiano APGA did not win on Change but on continuity therefore there is absolutely no basis for quick deviation from the style that won election for him. In terms of performance, it is far too premature to assess Obiano APGA led Govt. He has everything going for him, he has no excuse not to beat Ex Gov Obi records in 4 yrs. Ex Gov Obi did all the dirty Job for him. Ex Gov Obi was in tribunal for 3yrs, he was in Court for another nine months in respect of his impeachment. He was court for his 4yrs tenure. Ex Gov Obi laid solid foundation for a sustainable growth in health and educational sector of the state. No point talking about roads, industrialization , and state finance as the facts are there for verification. Mr spin Doctor James Eze must desist from playing with our collective intelligence. I must not blame him that much, he is a stranger in Anambra politics . He only know Awka and Aguleri as Anambra state unknown to him that places like Umuchu, Umuomaku , Ezira, Enugu Umuonyia Achina, Nkpologwu , Amesi, Umunze Ajali , Akpu and ors. I must say that I am yet to come across Obiano giant step on Palm Produce the major occupation of those areas. Everything put together Chief Willie Obiano is paying the price of ill advised political moves by strangers as he could do worst things than what is doing now without loosing an inch of free goodwill he inherited from Ex Gov Obi and Ojukwu in less than 6 Months.
