Relationships are based on four levels of understanding, comfort, and commonality. The first level is physical, second emotional, mental and spiritual. The last level is meta to all the others. This is because the spiritual orientation you have is affecting all the other levels. If this is a level that has never been examined, and you become self-aware of your spiritual awareness and change it - you will change the basis of the relationship. This is not a bad thing, but it is disruptive for the relationship. If both partners move forward at the same time, that will not happen - but it rarely does because it is an individual thing. You are ready when you are ready. Yes this is why many spiritually aware humans are single because it demands a whole different level of partnership if that partnership is going to work.
