Relationships are very difficult to maintain, at best. Every couple goes through many trials and troubles, however, these trials help us to learn how to communicate through the issues and come out stronger. Communication is the KEY to every Successful Positive relationship! If we learn how to communicate on small and large issues, resolve them, then nothing can come between us and cause a problem in our relationship. The KEYS to Successful Positive Communication… 1. Keep him/her first in our personal life and in the center of our relationship. 2. Attack the issue and never the other person. Don’t make it a personal attack about what they are doing wrong, but attack what is happening and how we can resolve it together. 3. Stay on the topic being discusses, don’t drag us past issues or change the subject, and attack only one issue at a time. 4. Remove the words “Always and Never” from our vocabulary when speaking about how we each respond to issues. Remember, none of us “Always” or “Never” do something ALL the time. 5. Stay Positive at all times, watch our tone of voice, body language, and maintain eye contact to show our interest. Sitting and facing each other is always best. 6. Avoid all interruptions, turn off Cell phones, TV, Radio, and maintain a calm atmosphere. 7 . Pray together about the issue and ask the God to help guide and keep you in His perfect Will throughout the discussion. Stay Positive, kind, loving, caring, respectful, and carefully consider the other’s feelings even more than our own.
