Eleven years old in the 7th grade (Junior High). I had spent elementary grades 1-6 in small rural town with a population 500. In our 7th grade we were bussed 15 miles from home and attended school with the city kids. The school principal was strict . He allowed no long hair for boys. It couldnt touch the collar in the back or the ears on the side. I cant imagine how we were given permission to play records (45s) in the school cafeteria during lunch.
