“Religious freedom is in fact a fundamental human right and I cannot fail to express my hope that it will be upheld throughout the Middle East and the entire world. The funny part is that Francis here is quoting that supposed stalwart of Catholic Tradition, Benedict XVI, verbatim; it’s from the latters ‘apostolic exhortation’ Ecclesia in Medio Oriente of Sept. 14, 2012…(See, hermeneutic of continuity after all!) This is either heretical or proximate to heresy — in any case, absolutely condemned by Holy Mother Church as erroneous and destructive of the truth.
