“Religious freedom is in fact a fundamental human right and I cannot fail to express my hope that it will be upheld throughout the Middle East and the entire world. The right to religious freedom ‘includes on the individual and collective levels the freedom to follow one’s conscience in religious matters and, at the same time, freedom of worship… [it also includes] the freedom to choose the religion which one judges to be true and to manifest one’s beliefs in public’ (Ecclesia in Medio Oriente, 26). (‘Pope Francis addresses Jordanian Authorities in Amman’, May 24, 2014) This is the error of religious liberty of Vatican II. The funny part is that Francis here is quoting that supposed stalwart of Catholic Tradition, Benedict XVI, verbatim; it’s from the latters ‘apostolic exhortation’ Ecclesia in Medio Oriente of Sept. 14, 2012…(See, hermeneutic of continuity after all!) This is either heretical or proximate to heresy — in any case, absolutely condemned by Holy Mother Church as erroneous and destructive of the truth. No wonder Benedict’s footnote documenting the supposed right to religious liberty is only pointing to the robber synod known as the Second Vatican Council (1962-65), and not to the traditional Catholic teaching, which was the exact opposite…” novusordowatch.org/wire/francis-in-holy-land-live.htm
