"Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me." -John 15:4 "Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the word and at once receive it with joy. But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away." -Mark 4:16-17 God wants us to remain rooted in him! we can profess all we want with our mouths that we are Christians, but do our lives back that up? God wants people who are going to truly be devoted to him and ones that will strive to reflect his character. If we are not rooted in him, over time we will fall away from our faith. He wants us to be rooted in him so that not only will we be more fulfilled in life, but so he can also produce good fruit in our lives and use us to reach the lost! We can either be ordinary trees with nice looking leaves or we can be trees that are full of good fruit for others to benefit from and enjoy. Which tree are you?? I have a long way to go but i desire to be like the 2nd tree, reflecting Christ in everything i say and do!
