Remember Bob Lasley? For many that went to Del Oro from the early 60s through late 90s, if you had him for a teacher (math), you had one of the best. He always went the extra mile to provide the best instruction for his students. In the early days first day of class his opening speech included he wasnt going to be anyones friend, what a softie. Many classes loved him and honored him with special recognition. One class had a wooden plaque made Abandon Hope all Ye who enter which he proudly displayed. Another nicknamed him the bopper, as a class prank inflated a weather balloon in the middle of his classroom (it remained on display all day). He loved these, I imagine the legacy continued. Bobs 77th is upcoming, hes certain it will be his last.
