Remember my little football sensation that I always talk about. Well, tomorrow he will be 16. He could not have had a better birthday gift than this one. The local newspaper was looking through their archives and found this information about my little Tiger and wrote this article. This is the actual article and the video that the newspaper, Herald-Times, posted, online. Rochell-Manns back North wideout John Earl Rochell-Manns has been practicing this week after missing last week’s game against Columbus East. While in the process of checking to make sure I was spelling his name correctly, I found this video. Apparently, while Ludwig was nothing more than a basketball player with no dreams of being a Division I football player, Rochell-Manns was the envy of the Monroe County Youth Football Association. So good, he scored 43 touchdown during the 2008 season, on his way to MVP honors and a league championship. This is a highlight from the championship game, where it appears he had a couple hundred yards rushing and more than a few devastating blocks and tackles. I don’t think one highlight exists from my time playing Pop Warner football. This guy must have boxes of tape. If you want to shuffle through the monotony of offensive highlights, I encourage you to stop at 1:08 (big block) and 3:31 (big tackle).
