Remember that honesty is the basis of all healthy relationships, - TopicsExpress

Remember that honesty is the basis of all healthy relationships, whether with a friend, a significant other, co-worker or any other person. Honesty gives rise to trust, which is essential for maintaining relationships. Honesty also establishes consistency, allowing the other person to rely on what you say as carrying true meaning. Most importantly of all, honesty is about respect and valuing the dignity of the other person. So why is it that when a rape, a suspicious death or any number of major situations occur people insist for those involved to remain silent everyone wants to know what happened, to who, where and when but the family and friends insist on not spreading rumors and the truth will come out but it never does. But then there are so many other things we know so much about that have no impact in our lives and these people that have these things happen to them are quick to tell us everything and more about what they went through. Ive heard way to many girls tell me of how they were raped here in town by people they knew and all of them didnt want to start problems so they kept quiet. Then the next girl gets raped and silent she goes. Then another girl and yet even more silence. The girls are being trained to behave this way and the boys involved are being trained that its okay. If only the first victim told the truth and wasnt scared. Then there would have not been the next girl and so on. The rapist could have been at the least pointed out and named her attackers so we could have shunned them and refused to except them amongst us. Think of all the things we now see as common today but they werent back when we were younger. People smoking weed is what I remember as a little kid and then when I got older it was meth. Now that I am a little older and I am seeing heroin in town, it makes me a little scared for what Im going to see in my senior years. It makes me concerned to think that I could be an elderly unarmed citizen in a country that could be broke and trusting local law enforcement in the future when criminals are growing in numbers, along with knowing that smoking bath salts makes people chew faces off homeless people...... Im starting to see the zombie generations birth
