Remember that tomorrow, Dec. 8, is the Solemnity of the Immaculate - TopicsExpress

Remember that tomorrow, Dec. 8, is the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, which is a Holy Day of Obligation. (A Holy Day of Obligation is, like a Sunday, a solemnity so important that the faithful are obliged to participate in Mass to celebrate that day). St. Marys is offering Masses tomorrow at 9:00am and 6:00pm in English and 8:00pm in Spanish. If you need a ride to the parish (or can offer a ride), please post here. Remember, the dogma of the Immaculate Conception refers to Marys conception (which came about in the natural way) in the womb of her mother, Anne. It does not refer to the virginal conception of Jesus in Marys womb (we celebrate that on March 25 with the solemnity of the Annunciation). Click the article below for more information.
