Remember the good ol days of RBY? Where mechanics were screwy and Mew was a real life legend? Relive the terrible yet awesome Gen 1 metagame with Showdowns latest metagame: GEN 1 RANDOM BATTLE! You read that right. Now there is an active ladder for RBY Random Battle! Just a few reminder of the main mechanics in case you hit yourself in confusion while playing this: 1. No Physical/ Special split. 2. No held items. 3. SpA and SpD are the same. 4. The higher the Speed, the more the critical hit chance. 5. Freeze never heals by itself. 6. Upon waking up from sleep, the Pokémon wont move. 7. Every move has 1/256 chance of missing (except Swift). 8. Hyper Beam doesnt require recharge if it lands a KO. 9. Wrap/ Bind/ Clamp will not let you attack, but will let you switch. 10. Type chart changes: Ice is neutral on Fire Bug is weak to Poison Poison is weak to Bug Psychic is immune to Ghost Mind blown yet? Yes we grew up playing this messed up game! Now lets play it again!
