Remember the old children’s story about the Velveteen Rabbit? It was written in 1922 by Margery Williams, and tells a tale of a stuffed rabbit that desperately wants to become “real.” It’s a good read, even for us “grownups.” It reminds you that love, whether given or received, is the key to becoming “real.” This excerpt from the book is poignant. You must get ruffed up a little to achieve your dreams. So get out there. Love a little. Get loved a little. And become the real you – the best you. And then go help somebody.
