Remember this cute kid I posted a few days ago who shared about the harsh reality of his neighborhood and the beacon of light his principal is to the kids at his school? Well apparently I wasnt the only one moved! After followers of HONY asked about his school how to support his inspirational principal, the blogger of Humans of New York researched the principal, the school, more students, teachers, etc and helped his followers turn that momentum into an entirely accidental fundraiser that drew $700k in FOUR days for some great projects for these kids including applying any excess into sending this young man Vidal and many other select students to college on scholarship... And *tears* it will be named after this little guy! Faith in humanity restored little by little! Now this my friends is philanthropy at its finest... It is finding a need, finding out what to do and acting!!!! Period. If you think you cant make a difference... Youre the only one standing between you and an impact on this world!
