Remember when I said I would talk about the bad days? Well here we go..... My middle son C....oh where do I start? He is 13 going on 30 (in his mind). In my mind some days he is 3...maybe 4. Yesterday they laid tile downstairs and we were told not to walk on it for at least four hours. Three hours later, C is downstairs on the computer. After a few choice words about how he isnt supposed to walk on the *&^#*^# tile, we said stay down there for an hour. 45 minutes later...he is upstairs. How? He crawled out the window he says. Why? Who knows? Who knows why he does 87928234729437 of the stupid things he does? My husband is a medically retired soldier battling PTSD and literally cant cope with C most days. Ive had to quit my job to care for him during the day because I am afraid sometimes what may happen. He literally sucks the life out of me some days...most days lately. He doesnt even try to attempt to regulate himself, or behave, or do the right thing, or listen, or follow instruction, or do his homework, or follow the rules, or really anything we ask of him. He just does on impulse what pops in that head of his. He is quite capable of cooking (and is a good cook) so he will decide to make himself a cake at 3am if the mood hits. He goes to therapy....court ordered therapy I may add (which I will discuss at a later time), he has a psychiatrist, and a psychologist. I do what I am supposed to do for him, what any mother would do for her child. But it doesnt seem to help. He tells them whatever they want to hear, then will come home and attempt suicide. And when I say attempt I mean he will make it LOOK like he is trying to kill himself. Im just at my wits end with him. Why does he do the things he does? For attention? He gets more attention than anyone in this house. Weve admitted him inpatient before and its been suggested to do so again. He begs us not to do so, but he doesnt seem to care. Whats a mom to do? Well....looks like he is wanted to make funnel cakes now...at 6:40AM....cause he saw it on pinterest. Done.....seriously just done!
