Remembering 9/11- 13 years ago today before Joe left for work and I got Christian up (11 months old), I decided to take a pregnancy test. That morning we found out we were expecting baby #2!! Once Joe left for work, I called my Daddy to tell him the good news, only to find out he had flown out that morning on a business trip into NYC. He answered his phone and told me he was ok, and I had no clue what he was talking about until he told me I needed to turn my TV on. Daddy was sitting on the George Washington bridge watching it all happen. Needless to say I freaked out and gave him demands to have his driver get him out of that city and as far away as possible!!! The next 48 hours were filled with worry and finally relief when he made it home to us via one of the last Amtrack tickets available. Today I am grateful that God protected my Daddy, but I also remember and pray for those who lost their loved ones and served our country in the rescue efforts that followed.
