Reminder from the NEX: Please keep a positive balance on your child’s school lunch account. The goal of the Student Meal Program (SMP) is to provide a nutritious, quality school lunch to students. The SMP relies on payments from sponsors and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) subsidies for program success. To ensure your child receives a nutritious school lunch, sponsors should keep a positive balance in their child’s account at all times. The success of the SMP relies on maintaining a positive cash flow throughout the school year. Student accounts with a negative balance severely affect the ability of the SMP to be self-sustaining. The DoD schools and DoDEA cannot fund program losses. The NEX, your food service provider, prefers to perform its mission of providing student lunches, but does not have the financial resources to provide student meals without reimbursement. For your convenience, payments are accepted at NEX Customer Service. You can also set up a free account at mypaymentsplus to keep track of your child’s account balance and set up low balance alerts. For a small fee, you can add money to your child’s balance from your home or office computer, tablet, smart phone, or other mobile device. Thank you for your cooperation.
