(Remove tag if you find its annoyed - Vietnamese below) Dear my international friends, I know its ridiculous but thiss gonna be a long note especially for you, but not about any of our mutual issues. Just read when you have time, please. Its about my Vietnam and the conflict with China about the East Sea (other name: South China Sea, a Pacific Ocean part between China, Vietnam, the Philippines and some other countries), which Im 1000% sure that theres none of your concern, but please, I beg you please keep reading. In the early May, 2014; China government settled an oil rig HaiYang Shiyou 981 in a Vietnamese area (on the East Sea region) - which is completely an impudent invade into Vietnam territory, a bit similar to what they did to the Phillipines and Japan. Normally, this peaceful area is the place for our fishman go catching the fish, squid, shrimp blabla for living - peaceful and normal life. But this changed everything. China government says that because this sea belongs to China ?!?. Okey, although 90mil Vietnamese people, the US, Russia, Japan, the Philippines.... governments and billions of people in this world have absolutely agreed that THAT SEA BELONGS TO VIETNAM, I will leave this undeniable truth aside and say to you as Chinese does: THIS SEA IS A DISPUTED AREA. (which means China says that it belongs to China, and Vietnam says it belongs to Vietnam). But you know what happened? After settled the oil rig into what-Chinese-says-as-a-disputed-area, China government mobilized hundreds of WARSHIPS AND MILITARY aircrafts to this area (which is 100% belongs to Vietnam exclusive economic zone -EEZ) and spray water cannon to Vietnam fishing boats and fishery control ships. They even attacked, crashed directly our normal ships (BIG NOTE here: our NORMAL (civilian) ships, because Vietnam government does not allow any MILLITARY or ARMY force to go to this area, coz they know that this would lead to a war), hurt nearly 20 or 30 normal Vietnamese people. But being a country that been drown in wars for 2000 years, Vietnam knows more than anyone in this world that they have to keep calm and do not fight back. But now, I have to write this letter for you, because today, they KILLED TWO VIETNAMESE PEOPLE. Dear God! They are just TWO NORMAL FISHMEN going on a normal journey to catch something for their wives, their kids. They are just TWO NORMAL FATHERS having a cant-be-more-simple wish: A PEACEFUL SEA to feed their families. Now China government KILLED them, unreasonably unexplainably and unbearably. SO BRIEFLY, THATS WHAT I WANNA SAY: This make my anger become a hurtful motivation, so I just write you this long note, to make you notice that even if you dont care (so right, I dont even care about Ukraine, I swear), just please understand whats happening if you see some Vietnamese crowds hold some protests/ demonstration against China government in your countries. Just understand that Vietnam loves peace more than anything, but we have to do this because its gone too far. I know its hard for you because you dont know whether what I say is true or not, so all I claim is JUST understand that: VIETNAMESE PEOPLE AND GOVERNMENT LOVE PEACE SO MUCH, and we will try our best (with your support also) to keep it. P/s: I tagged my Chinese friend here, to make you know that I ALWAYS love Chinese people so much, and we always clearly distinguish Chinese PEOPLE and GOVERNMENT.
